"I installed this about a month ago along with the I-Spring whole house system. I wanted something to catch the large particles to keep the longevity of the 5um filters. We are on well water with a lot of clay and sediment. It does its job well and if you run the backwash/blowdown often (once or twice a week) then you should be good. You get a better screen cleaning by not hooking up the tubing and blowing it out at high pressure. Use a clear glass when you do and you will see what it catches. I installed gauges at each filter point to see the differential and know when I’m taking pressure loss due to buildup. Easy to disassemble and clean as well if needed."
