Welcome to your new W-Cat Pet Air Purifier! This guide will walk you through everything from unboxing to daily use. Setup takes about 5 minutes — let's get started.
Step 1: Unboxing & Checking Contents
Carefully open the box and verify that you have all of the following items:
- W-Cat Air Purifier (main unit)
- HEPA composite filter (pre-installed inside the unit)
- Pre-filter sheets (electrostatic cotton)
- 24V power adapter and cord
- Quick-start guide with app QR code
- Warranty card
Step 2: Preparing the Filters
- Remove the outer cover of the purifier (gently lift or twist depending on your model).
- Take out the HEPA composite filter and remove all plastic wrapping and packaging tape.
- Place the HEPA composite filter back into the unit. Make sure the arrow on the filter frame points in the direction shown inside the housing.
- Place a fresh pre-filter sheet (electrostatic cotton) over the outside of the HEPA filter. This is the first line of defense that catches pet hair and large particles.
- Reattach the outer cover securely.
Step 3: Choosing the Right Location
Where you place your W-Cat makes a real difference in how well it works.
Do:
- Place it on a flat, stable surface
- Keep at least 15 inches (40 cm) of clearance on all sides for the 360° air intake
- Put it in the room where you and your cat spend the most time
- Position it near (but not directly on top of) the litter box area for odor control
Don't:
- Block the air intake on any side by pushing it against a wall or into a corner
- Place it on an unstable surface where it could tip over
- Put it in a damp environment like a bathroom
Step 4: Powering On
- Connect the 24V power adapter to the purifier and plug it into a wall outlet.
- Press the power button once. The LED indicators will light up and the purifier will start running.
- The purifier defaults to Low speed on first startup.
Step 5: Connecting to the Wisesky App
The app lets you control the purifier remotely, monitor air quality in real time, and track filter life.
- Scan the QR code in the included quick-start guide to download the Wisesky app (available for iOS and Android).
- Create an account or sign in.
- Make sure your phone is connected to your 2.4 GHz WiFi network (the W-Cat does not support 5 GHz).
- Tap "Add Device" in the app and follow the on-screen instructions to pair your purifier.
- Once connected, you'll see real-time PM2.5 and TVOC readings on the app home screen.
Step 6: Understanding the LED Indicators
| Indicator | Status | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Air Quality Light | Green | Good air quality |
| Air Quality Light | Yellow | Moderate — consider increasing fan speed |
| Air Quality Light | Red | Poor air quality — run on High |
| Filter Indicator | Flashing | Filter life reaching end (~2,800 hours) — order a replacement soon |
| Filter Indicator | Solid | Filter expired (~3,000 hours) — replace now |
| UV-C Light | On | UV-C sterilization is active (auto-off after 2 hours) |
| WiFi Indicator | Flashing | Connecting to network |
| WiFi Indicator | Solid | Connected to WiFi |
Step 7: Basic Operation
Fan Speed
Press the fan speed button to cycle through four modes:
| Mode | Noise Level | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Quiet | ~38 dB | Nighttime, naps, quiet environments |
| Low | ~45 dB | Everyday use while at home |
| Medium | ~55 dB | After cooking or cleaning |
| High | ~64 dB | Heavy odors, post-vacuuming, litter box cleaning |
UV-C Sterilization
To activate the UV-C function, press and hold the UV button for 3 seconds. The UV-C indicator will light up. It runs for up to 2 hours and then turns off automatically — no need to remember to switch it off. The UV light operates safely inside the unit and is not exposed externally.
Step 8: Maintenance Schedule
Keeping your W-Cat running at peak performance is easy. Here's what to do and when:
| Task | Frequency | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Replace pre-filter (electrostatic cotton) | Every 2-4 weeks | Disposable — do NOT wash. Replace when visibly dirty. |
| Replace HEPA composite filter | Every 6 months (~3,000 hours) | App alerts at 2,800h (flashing) and 3,000h (solid). Reset counter in app after replacing. |
| Wipe exterior | As needed | Use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid water or cleaning products on electronics. |
| Check air intake grilles | Monthly | Remove any pet hair buildup from the 360° intake vents. |
How to Replace Filters
- Unplug the purifier from the wall outlet.
- Remove the outer cover.
- Remove the old pre-filter sheet and discard it.
- If replacing the HEPA composite filter, carefully slide out the old filter and insert the new one. Make sure the directional arrow on the filter matches the arrow inside the housing.
- Place a fresh pre-filter sheet over the HEPA filter.
- Reattach the outer cover.
- Plug the purifier back in and power it on.
- Open the Wisesky app and reset the filter life counter so it tracks the new filter accurately.

Troubleshooting
The purifier won't turn on
Check that the power adapter is fully connected to both the purifier and the wall outlet. Try a different outlet. If the unit still won't power on, contact support@wisesky.com.
The app can't find my purifier
Make sure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network (not 5 GHz). Ensure the purifier is powered on and the WiFi indicator is flashing (pairing mode). Move the purifier closer to your router and try again.
Air quality readings seem wrong
Give the sensors a few minutes to calibrate after first powering on. If readings persist as inaccurate, ensure the sensor vents are not blocked by dust or pet hair, and try wiping them gently with a dry cloth.
The purifier smells unusual
A slight odor during the first few hours of use is normal for new filters. If the smell persists, check that all plastic packaging has been removed from the filters. If the HEPA filter is past its replacement date, a new filter should resolve the issue.
